Mark Cross Church of England Primary School is a happy and welcoming school with a ‘family feel.' Visitors often comment on the distinctive warm and positive ethos that seems to ooze out of every corner of our building and from every member of staff.  As a Church Aided school, we aim to serve our community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.  We encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote Christian values through the experience we offer to all our pupils. Pupils of all faiths are welcome at our school.

School should be a place where children feel happy and safe. It is our responsibility as educators, and my responsibility as a school leader, to ensure that learning is inspirational and memorable, enabling children to attain highly and reach their full potential. We achieve this by creating a supportive environment where children are encouraged to be independent and become more resilient. Our curriculum is exciting, intriguing and relevant, providing pupils with opportunities to challenge themselves and develop the skills they need to become life-long learners.

No school can be successful without the support of parents, carers and the wider community. We are incredibly fortunate to have a committed parent body and lots of volunteers who generously give their time to help the children and organise fundraising events. We are truly thankful for everything they do.

We are proud of our school and the determined, kind and enthusiastic group of children who work incredibly hard every single day.  Mark Cross Church of England Primary School was awarded ‘Good, with outstanding areas’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection. Teachers, Teaching Assistants, myself and the office staff are all absolutely committed to ensuring that our pupils have the best possible learning experiences.
