Parent Voice

At Mark Cross CE Aided Primary School, one of the many qualities that makes the school ‘in a league of its own’ is the strong partnership between home and school.  The parents of Mark Cross have incredible talent, strengths and expertise (which are utilised to full effect). The parents, staff, governors, local community and church all work together and strive towards the same goal - to give the children of Mark Cross School the best possible education, opportunity, success and happy memories.

The parents of Mark Cross School have come up with some of the best ideas for school improvement. Our eco-building and school library are just two examples of their influence.  We are therefore keen to listen to the views of our parents and involve them in the strategic direction and vision of ‘their’ school and ‘their’ children’s future.

The voice of our parents is therefore extremely important to us.

We collect the views of our parents through regular surveys and we work hard to listen, reflect, learn from and act upon our parents’ comments.

Please take the time to have a look at the outcomes of some of our parent surveys.

Another forum where parents can express their views is through ‘Parent View.’  Parent View is an online facility launched by Ofsted in October 2011 that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child’s school at any time of the school year. The questionnaire is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views to inspectors about their child’s school at the time of inspection.

The ‘Parent View’ questionnaire can be accessed on the homepage of our website or directly here
